The Child Care Project is a small charity organisation, running three projects in Uganda: Primary school, help for disabled children and a women's initiative

Significant headway has been made in the construction, with the facilities set to be fully operational for upper primary classes starting next year. Over the final quarter of this year, our contractor will focus on final touches. These encompass fitting kitchen stoves, installing toilet doors, applying a fresh coat of paint to all structures, and enhancing the overall compound.

Disabled Children

The Child Care Project supports three families with disabled children. They receive regular medical checkups, medicine, food packages and hygiene items.

Who We Are?

Our concept: Help for self-help.

In 2013, Jimmy Godfrey Mpungu, the visionary behind the Child Care Project, embarked on a transformative journey. He established a pre-primary and elementary school in Iganga with the goal of uplifting the lives of children from underprivileged backgrounds. This marked the birth of Child Care Project e.V. Our initial endeavor began with 40 students, aiming to provide education and two daily meals, while setting our sights on the creation of a comprehensive primary school.

What We Do?

We support children and their families with free basic health care, education, clothing, and meals as well as helping single mothers and children with handicaps. Most of our work is carried out by volunteers.

School Project

In 2013, the Child Care Project founded a pre-primary and elementary school in the region of Iganga. Back then, we took care of about 40 children of socially weak families. In addition to teaching, we began providing 2 meals a day. The school had 3 teachers and a cook.
